Curl the lashes well, then apply mascara starting from the roots of the top lashes, moving the wand first side to side then upwards toward the end of the lashes. Apply a conservative amount of mascara and let it dry completely before applying another coat if you wish to do so. If you experience some smudging, firstly to prep and prime around the eye and on eyelid with a finishing powder to get a completeley matte base. This is very important if you experience smudging, because usually the reason for this is excess sebum from eyelids. Sometimes it can also be due to watery eyes, and since the mascara is not waterproof, it can smudge a bit if the eyes are watery. Then when you apply the mascara, reduce the amount on the brush by pulling it up and down a few times in the reducer. Start by looking upwards and apply one layer on the bottom lashes. Make sure to not look down until it has dried. Then look down and apply one layer on the upper lashes. Make sure it dries completely before looking up. Repeat application if necessary. Use as many coats as you feel comfortable with. One coat and your lashes are full and defined. Two coats and lashes are even more luscious, curled, and dramatic. Three coats help you achieve the most intense, black, multi dimensional lashes possible.
