Nécessaire is a socially conscious line of body products, founded on the importance of skin health. It was created by veteran Estee Lauder executive Randi Christiansen, and the co-founder of Into The Gloss, Nick Axelrod. The brand was designed with their shared belief that self care is a necessity for everyone. I received a couple of the products to test for the website Violet Grey and the sleek, gender fluid packaging drew me in.

The line consists of 6 products composed of clean science. Key ingredients include:  Omega-6 and Omega-9 fatty acids, to moisturize, vitamins C and E to fight free radicals and brighten, and natural oils including marula and meadowfoam, which help deliver vitamins and nutrients. The ingredients work together to clean the skin, preserve its natural pH, and reduce inflammation.

The brand is also making strides in the world of sustainability. They uphold environmentally-friendly practices when sourcing, packaging and shipping the products.

Below are my favorites:

The Body Wash

The Body Wash contains vitamins that cleanse the body. This wash includes Vitamin A, Omega-6, and antioxidants. It has a rich texture that glides onto the skin easily and comes in three scents: sandalwood, eucalyptus, and fragrance-free.
