Hair Must Haves
Hair has been an issue for me for a long time. I always had thin hair, but lots of it, and then in my late 20’s I developed Hashimoto’s disease and my hair started thinning out. And because of age, the thinning continues... Another challenge I face is that I do not have patience (or talent) to style my hair myself, and, to top it off, I am “illegally” blond, which adds stress to what little hair I have left.
During this time, I have tried my best, but have failed for the most part, which is why you normally see my hair pulled back.
But, one thing I am good at, is making sure I use exceptional haircare products. Just like skin care, I look for great brands with good ingredients and effective results to keep my hair healthy and prepped for my stylists and colorists to do what they do best.
Below are my picks for hair must–haves:
Biologique Recherche Shampooing Traitant VIP02
This oxygenating "antipollution" shampoo gently washes hair to protect and rebalance it. Enriched with an Oxygenating Complex that contains extracts of Silk and Plants with antioxidant, energizing properties, it restores the hair's volume, sheen and softness. Recommended for stressed, fragile hair.
Thanks to its formula full of rebalancing, soothing and reconditioning active ingredients. This soft, non-irritating and plant-based cleansing formula (without Sodium Laureth Sulfate) considerably decreases tingling and heating effects.
World of Fischer Shampoo Bar
This multi-use shampoo bar from Iceland, is an all-natural, zero waste option. It contains natural oils that are nourishing for the hair and a refreshing scent made with Icelandic Sitka Spruce essential oil and Lavender. You can use it on the body as well
Hairstory Undressed Texture Spray
Undressed creates texture without torture for a finish that’s soft and lush – and unlike so many surf-inspired sprays it doesn’t contain even a grain of salt to sap moisture.
Moisturizing Hair Balm
Hair Balm takes skincare and applies it to hair: Moisture plus magic manages dryness, and comes to the rescue in case of or over-processing.
It’s a must-have to make curls perfectly imperfect, and to add weight to naturally big hair for a leaner look – all without feeling crunchy, sticky, gelled, or lacquered.
Hairstory Dressed Up Hair Styling Lotion
This light lotion keeps things in control, maintaining body and adding just enough texture to pin hair up when you want to go all out.
Hairstory New Wash
New Wash is the new way to clean hair with aloe and essential oils – instead of detergent – to respect the natural moisture barrier.
