Biologique Recherche Masque Vivant
I am a big proponent of masking. It is a great way to prolong the effects of your professional treatments, target specific skincare concerns, and keep skin balanced in between facial treatments. Biologique Recherche’s Masque Vivant is great for acneic, oily and dull skin. Rich in antioxidants, it helps to purify the epidermis, regulate oil production, unclog and tighten pores, and even out skin tone.
Masque Vivant Ingredients
The unique combination of active yeast, clay, witch hazel, and cucumber extract, hydrates, purifies and soothes the skin. Masque Vivant includes Kaolin clay, which is a naturally occurring mineral that is very fine and gentle and helps effectively breaks down dead skin cells and reduces inflammation.
Masque Vivant also contains Lactic Acid, which is one of the most popular Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHAs) derived from milk, fruit, vegetables, and other plants. This powerhouse ingredient is primarily used as an exfoliator in skincare products, improving skin’s texture, softening fine lines and wrinkles, moisturizing and brightening the skin.
How To Use Masque Vivant
Apply Masque Vivant over the entire face, neck, and décolletage. Leave for 15 minutes, moisten the mask and rinse it off at least twice with warm water. People with reactive skin should not use it more than 1X per week. If you have less reactive skin can use it 2-3X per week.
If your skin condition is currently more oily, mix Masque Vivant with Biologique Recherche Masque VIP 02 (an oxygenating anti-pollution mask) and a pinch of baking soda. The baking soda gives the mask extra anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties, and helps to purify, balance and brighten the skin. This combination also prevents post-acne hyperpigmentation. Leave it on for 15 minutes, and then wash off with warm water.
You can also mix a pinch of baking soda with a few drops of Biologique Recherche’s Complexe Iribol and Masque Vivant. Leave this mixture on for 15 minutes and rinse off with water.
