As we transition from summer to fall, our skin may need to recover from damage the warmer months might have caused including increased hyperpigmentation and dehydration from the sun, unbalanced skin from salt and chlorine, and irritations and reactions from higher SPF products.

The change in season is the perfect time for a skincare re-set.  If you follow a few simple tips, fall should bring healthy, luminous skin.

1. Start working on balancing your skin by using a proper toner. Toner can gently exfoliate, balance the pH of the skin, and make the products that follow more effective. Remember - toner follows cleanser, and is the first step of treatment, not the second step of cleansing.

2. Reintroduce Vitamin A. This ingredient speeds up cellular turnover and sheds dehydrated skin.  There are many forms of vitamin A, and our favorite is retinyl palmitate which doesn’t cause sun sensitivity.

3. Keep using Vitamin C.This powerful ingredient increases collagen production and brightens the skin. It is also a terrific antioxidant.

4. Extra hydration is especially important to tackle dehydrated skin. Hyaluronic Acid is key.

5. Fall is also a great moment to have some form of deeper exfoliation (mild chemical peels or mild exfoliating treatments) as skin heals much more quickly in mild weather.

Environ Intensive Revival Cream Mask - Use this 1-2x week as a wash-off mask or apply over your moisturizer and leave overnight.

Lotion MC 110 Exfoliating Booster – Use this after Lotion P50, 2x week

Pro Tip: Boost the efficacy of your products by incorporating dermal needling into your routine. Use the Environ Cosmetic Roll-CIT after cleansing and toning to enhance product penetration of the subsequent products. This is especially effective when paired with Environ Vitamin A serums, and works equally well with

Environ Frown Serum or HA Intensive Hydrating Serum.
